Each stage measures the photo first and only does what it needs — a clean shot is barely touched. Super-res 2× doubles the canvas (Real-ESRGAN, ~20s) and clears the selection. Dust & scratches is for scanned prints: it's off by default because on a detailed digital photo the speck detector also nips real texture. Light scatter is the translucency model — a diffusion layer blended through a Fresnel edge mask × a highlight mask, so light "bleeds" the way it does through skin, water and fabric. Color boost = vibrance: dull colors get richer, strong colors and skin tones are protected. X-ray look = a blue radiograph-style art filter, applied last.

Runs 100% locally on the Mac mini — Gamma restoration · LaMa inpaint · GFPGAN faces · Real-ESRGAN upscale · ISNet cutout · Zhang colorization. Photos stay on the tailnet. With a selection active, Face Restore / Colorize / AI Fill touch only that area. Open Eyes restores eye & face detail; a true closed→open rebuild needs a diffusion editor (next phase).
